Our 5th graders are nearing an exciting milestone as they prepare to leave Piney Branch ES and take their next big step into middle school. This year, the PTO and our school community are proud to honor their hard work, growth, and accomplishments with a series of activities designed to celebrate who they are now and who they’re becoming. From special events to family-centered initiatives, we’re committed to helping students reflect on their achievements, build confidence for the journey ahead, and enjoy every moment of this meaningful transition.

5th Grade Promotion Ceremony and Class Party

As we get ready to celebrate our 5th graders and all they’ve accomplished, we want to make it easy for families to stay informed about the special moments ahead. Below are the key details for our promotion ceremony and end‑of‑year class celebrations so you can plan with confidence and enjoy this milestone right alongside your student.

• June 11 at 10:15 AM: 5th Grade Promotion, doors open at 10 AM
• June 11 from 1:30-3:00 PM: 5th Grade Party, sponsored by the PTO

Support the 5th Grade Class Party

Our 5th Grade Promotion celebrations are right around the corner, and we need our amazing families to help make the class party unforgettable. We’re looking for monetary donations, food and supply contributions, and parent volunteers to help chaperone and run activities. Every bit of support helps us create a fun, safe, and memorable send‑off as our students get ready for middle school.

• Make a monetary donation! We would love to send our students off with a bang and need your help. Please make a donation to support the class party on or before April 10, 2026. Donations will be used to purchase supplies, food, and drinks for the class party on June 11th. Any donation, large or small, is helpful and greatly appreciated. • Donate a food item. Please consider signing up to donate a food item through our SignUpGenius so we can offer students a fun and well‑rounded variety of treats. Sign up to donate a food item.

• Volunteers to chaperone! We are looking for parent volunteers to attend the class party as volunteers to help the PTO and the committee execute this event. Sign up as a chaperone today.

YARD SIGNS. Yard signs are now available for purchase! Mark this special occasion with a custom yard sign celebrating your 5th grader’s graduation. Proudly display their achievement and let the whole community join in the joy. Place your order now to create a memorable tribute to their success!

• Order on or before April 19th to have your sign delivered by April 24th
• Order on or before May 20th to have your sign delivered by May 29th

All orders must be placed on or before May 20th and we strongly encourage you to place your orders early. Please review the details below before placing your order. The PTO is not responsible for inaccurate orders. All sales are final.

PROMOTION CEREMONY STUDENT SLIDE SHOW. During the 5th grade promotion ceremony, we will be celebrating our 5th graders with a special slideshow featuring their kindergarten photos. It’s a meaningful way to honor how much they’ve grown and to surround them with love as they step into this next chapter. To make sure every student is included, we’re asking families to help us gather photos of our students. Your contribution will help create a memorable tribute for all of our 5th graders on their big day.

Please email your student’s kindergarten photo with your student’s first and last name, their 5th grade teacher’s name, and their kindergarten teacher’s name.

YEARBOOK ADS. Families of our 5th graders are invited to create a lasting keepsake for their student by purchasing a personalized ad for our 2025-2026 yearbook featuring their child’s photo and a heartfelt message. These ads become treasured mementos that students can look back on for years to come, offering a snapshot of who they were at this milestone moment and the love and pride their families felt. It’s a meaningful way to celebrate their accomplishments and send them into middle school with words they’ll always carry with them. More ordering information to come!
